What is the price of the class?

How long is each class session?

The length of each section of the curriculum varies. However, we try to keep each class session within an hour.

Does the class go on indefinitely?

No, the class is 16 weeks long. We meet once a week during those 16 weeks and an intake is required prior to the start of the course.

Who teaches the class?

Our PEERS® teachers and social coach facilitators hold a Virginia Collegiate License. Many have advanced degrees and all have experience teaching students with disabilities.

Does the social coach have to be a parent?

No, the social coach can be a sibling, counselor, or any other adult that has consistent contact with the student.

What is a “Social Coach”?

Anyone who is active in a student’s life and is willing and able to participate in a weekly class that is 45 minutes to an hour long.

What are PEERS® RVA summer camps?

The camps typically run for 5 days from 9am – 2pm and cover the entirety of the PEERS® Social Skills or Financial Fitness curriculum.

Is this a “right fit” for my student?

We teach a diverse group of students, the only criteria is the desire or need to learn social and/or financial skills.
